Thomas Walter

Thomas Walter has been working in the field of biomedical image analysis for more than 15 years. His most visible scientific contributions have been in the field of High Content Screening (HCS). He has pioneered methods in the field of cellular phenotyping for live cell imaging data in order to quantify morphological changes of cells over time, in particular for the study of cell division and cell migration (www.mitocheck.org ). He has also made contributions to the visualization of high-dimensional image derived data and open-source software for the analysis of HCS live cell imaging data (http://cellcognition.org). Furthermore, he co-coordinates the workgroup on High Content Screening in the national infrastructure program for Bioimaging in France (France Bioimaging, FBI, https://france-bioimaging.org) and coordinates also the Bioimage Informatics axis of the national network on Bioimaging (GDR ImaBio).
